The BIG news is out and I have to say I am so incredibly excited for Harry and Meghan’s wedding in the spring. Yesterday after the news broke, I was asked for my comments on BBC Radio Wiltshire. You can hear what I said here.
It got me thinking if I were to plan a wedding for them, what would I do? There will be so many speculations between now and then and I wonder who will be right! So today I wanted to share my vision with you.
I have created a crepe, rose and navy scheme with a hint of gold. A fresh take on the blush we have seen so much of. I loved the idea of using silk voile with highly embellished elements to create a luxurious feel whilst retaining the down to earth vibe which I think will important to them. My prediction is that they’ll have a smaller wedding than Kate and William, something more private and intimate.
I love the combination of textures, the crepe and rose tones mixed with just a hint of the dark navy mixing the feminine with masculine.
We know that Meghan loves contemporary, well cut clothes and I think her wedding will be no different. I love the textures of the soft draping fabric with the suede heels in rouge.

With the flowers, I think we’ll see a contemporary mix of english garden roses paired with a mix of traditional British flowers and foliage. They will pick flowers full of scent in crepe and rose with a hint of plum and sangria.
I would love to see soft billowing flowers couples with fine china with a touch of gold. Candles will flicker giving the wedding breakfast a hint of romance!
My prediction is that invitations will be traditional with a contemporary twist like these letterpress options. Perhaps in a delicate pink or with a hint of gold.
So what do you think? Will Harry and Meghan pick these contemporary, timeless wedding scheme? Only time will tell but I for one, can’t wait!
