A Pudding Bridge Wedding – Amy and Ryan at The Mansion House, Bristol

Pudding Bridge Real Wedding Amy and Ryan

Today I’m thrilled to be sharing our first ‘real wedding’ here on the Pudding Bridge blog.

Amy and Ryan were married in December last year at The Mansion House, a stunning Victorian building set in the heart of Bristol’s Clifton.

I asked Amy to tell me more about the couple’s big day…

What impact did Pudding Bridge have on the look and feel of your wedding?

‘The items we hired definitely added a touch of sparkle and vintage glamour! Everyone commented on how beautiful the sequin chair sashes were and they looked gorgeous in the twinkling candle light. We had a winter wedding and I loved the way outside was so dark and cold, but inside was warm and sparkling! Helen was so lovely to deal with and made everything so easy and stress free.’

What was your favourite moment on your wedding day?

‘I’ve got so many, but my absolute favourite has to be walking down the aisle with my Dad. After a hectic morning of getting ready, I suddenly found myself standing outside the ceremony room, clinging onto my Dad and watching my BridesBoys (I had 5 male friends be my ‘BridesBoys’ instead of Bridesmaids) go ahead of me.

We had a Welsh Male Voice Choir from Ryan’s Home who sang Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love  With You’. I took a deep breath and when we entered the room I was the happiest I’ve ever been – all my favourite people in the world were there absolutely beaming at me and I felt surrounded by love. I saw Ryan at the front and I thought my heart was going to burst! It was incredibly emotional and I’ll never forget it.’

‘I do have to mention one other special memory though. My wonderful BridesBoys are incredibly musically talented and agreed to be our wedding band, supported by the wonderful ‘Daughters of Davis’ who are currently touring with Peter Andre. They got everyone up and dancing and were so good we all demanded an encore.

Even though I haven’t got a musical bone in my body, the band invited me up on stage and gave me a tambourine to shake around for the final song. Being up on stage performing with my best friends and  watching all my friends, family and now husband dance around like loons was a real highlight!’
